The importance of a working Houdaille is paramount for safety and performance. At the time these shocks were state of the art mechanical wonders that the Italian and French car manufacturers used for their racing cars. Over the last 25 years I have developed the skills, tooling and testing equipment to ensure a perfectly manufactured shock so that the ride is as close to what the car manufacturer intended as possible. Yes, I developed my own testing equipment. Knowing these shocks are adjustable, a process using a dynamometer was needed in order to adjust the shocks and test for reliability. The dynamometer will not only get the shock adjusted correctly, it also recreates extreme conditions of speed and temperature. All this to achieve the goal of what the car manufacturer intended.
